FarmBorough Festival Canceled in New York

Country Music Superstars Were Scheduled to Perform in June on Randall's Island Park

Just weeks after tickets went on sale for the second annual FarmBorough Festival in New York City, organizers announced Tuesday (Feb. 9) that the three-day event has now been canceled.

Scheduled for June 17-19 on Randall’s Island Park, the festival was to have featured two stages of country music from Jason Aldean, Brooks & Dunn, Brantley Gilbert, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Thomas Rhett, a Thousand Horses, Billy Currington, Lonestar, Kacey Musgraves, David Nail, Eric Paslay and others.

Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan and Brad Paisley headlined last year's FarmBorough, the first-ever country music festival in New York City. Approximately 40,000 attended the concert series.

A specific reason for this year's cancellation remains unclear.

"All of us at FarmBorough Festival appreciate the support we have received, but conditions dictate that we redirect our energy at this time," organizers said in a message on the festival's website. "We appreciate the opportunity you afforded us to present FarmBorough in New York City, and apologize for any inconvenience."

Ticket refunds began Tuesday at the festival's website.
