Blake Shelton's New Album Arrives in May

'If I'm Honest' Is His 12th Studio Album

Blake Shelton will release his new album, titled If I'm Honest, on May 20.

Tuesday's (March 8) announcement comes after he delivered the album's first single, "Came Here to Forget," to country radio and online retailers. The song, written by Craig Wiseman and Deric Ruttan, has already climbed to No. 1 on the iTunes country chart.

“I’ve had a lot of music over the years, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a song before that’s such a direct look into my life," he said of the single.

If I’m Honest is the Oklahoma native's 12th studio album for Warner Bros. Records/Warner Music Nashville.

"This is the most excited I’ve been about a new album since the release of my second record,” he said.

Shelton, who has gained mainstream media attention as a mentor on NBC's The Voice, will

host Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards airing live Saturday (March 12) at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).
