Blake Shelton Ready to Host Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards

Slime Spectacular Airs Saturday at 8 p.m. ET/PT

Borrowing from a time-honored show business adage, Blake Shelton is a man who needs no introduction, although the younger demographic of his fan base will increase substantially after he hosts Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards.

The only awards show that puts the power of choice into kids’ hands, it airs live Saturday (March 12) at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Nickelodeon and will be simulcast on CMT.

According to People magazine, Shelton will be opening the show at The Forum in Los Angeles with Selena Gomez, last year’s host Nick Jonas and a very special guest — Chewbacca from Star Wars.

In recent weeks, Shelton has been featured in a series of promotional clips for the awards show, including the one where he realizes the true meaning of “BTS.”

But if you really want to be entertained, you have to see his reaction after eating a snail-flavored jellybean.

And no Kids’ Choice show could be complete without the inevitable.
