Chris Stapleton Going Back to High School

Free Show in Kentucky Next Week

This is going to be quite an event in eastern Kentucky.

Chris Stapleton is returning to the community of Paintsville to take the stage (or gym floor, I guess) at the Johnson Central High School gymnasium on March 24, according to WOWK-TV in nearby Charleston, West Virginia.

Tickets are free, but they are first come first serve, so register for yours at You do not have to be a student to register for tickets.

Johnson Central High is Stapleton’s alma mater, and this show is being sponsored by Ram Trucks.

In related news, Stapleton’s Traveller album sold more than 31,000 copies last week to reach total sales of 1 million copies. This week, he’s in Germany for a brief tour that includes stops Wednesday in Berlin and Friday in Hamburg.
