The "Mom" Move Carrie Underwood Loves

Her "Oh, Lordy" Moments

Just like Faith Hill sang, a baby changes everything. And Carrie Underwood is living proof.

Because when her son Isaiah was born a year ago, she knew she had to make some changes. And one of the first things to go was her hair.

“Cutting my hair was a ‘mom’ move,” Underwood recently told Elle magazine. “Now that my hair is shorter, it's easier to fix, which was the whole point. I could spend half an hour to blow it dry and have it be super long, or I could spend that time playing with my son, and I'd much rather do the latter.”

Her priorities are straight. Time with baby trumps time with super long hair any day.

She also says that she’s tried to make everything simpler since Isaiah came along.

“Oh, Lordy, being a mom, half the time I'm like, 'Did I put moisturizer on? Did I do that today?' To be honest, whatever I can grab at a Walgreens is enough for me. I love drugstore makeup,” she admitted, adding that nothing in her beauty bag is expensive.

And because she is almost religious about drinking water, she’s probably always got a few water bottles in that bag, as well

“It has ridiculous benefits for every single part of your body," she said. "That's the first thing I notice if my skin looks dull: I realize I haven't been drinking enough."
