It sounds like Jana Kramer is more excited for Sunday's (April 3) Academy of Country Music Awards than she's ever been about an awards show.

Partly because she's nominated for female vocalist of the year.

And partly because she will be getting glam for the first time since her baby girl Jolie was born two months ago.

"I don’t wear anything nice anymore, I have spit-up on me constantly, I haven’t showered in three days, and I’m not quite sure when I brushed my teeth last," Kramer admitted to People magazine.

"I need some me time. I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty excited for the ACM Awards. I haven’t felt that pretty," she said of her ultimate date night with her husband Michael Caussin.

Her in-laws will be babysitting while Kramer and Caussin are in Las Vegas, so she knows they are in good hands. But she said it's going to be rough to be away from Jolie.

"I basically told them that they have to send a million pictures," she said.

The new mom says she had so much anxiety before Jolie was born and worried about things like how to change diapers and how to decipher what the baby's cry means. Once they brought Jolie home, though, Kramer said, "It was like, 'Oh I got this!' The mom instinct just totally kicked in and you really do realize which cry is which. It’s the craziest thing. All of a sudden I’m like, 'I’m the mom. I got this.'"
