Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett and Tim McGraw are the video of the year finalists at the 2016 CMT Music Awards. The announcement was made just a few hours before the awards show airs live Wednesday (June 8) at 8 p.m. from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
The final contenders for the biggest award of the night are Shelton’s “Sangria,” Underwood’s “Smoke Break,” Stapleton’s “Fire Away,” Bryan’s “Strip It Down,” Rhett’s “Die a Happy Man” and McGraw’s “Humble and Kind.”
If Underwood wins, she will maintain her record of most video of the year wins with five consecutive and seven total.
Fan voting is now underway to determine the video of the year winner.
