Farm Aid Announces 2016 Lineup

Bristow, Virginia Will Host Annual Benefit Concert Supporting Family Farmers

Farm Aid 2016 will mix country, rock and soul when the benefit concert comes to Bristow, Virginia’s Jiffy Lube Live on Sept. 17.

The event will feature sets by board members Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews, John Mellencamp and Neil Young, as well as Alabama Shakes, Sturgill Simpson, Jamey Johnson and Margo Price.

Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Carlene Carter and Insects Vs. Robots will also perform. As in years past, Matthews will be performing an acoustic set with multi-instrumentalist Tim Reynolds.

Since its 1985 inception, Farm Aid has raised more than $50 million to support family farmers.

“Folks are educating themselves about where and how food is grown – they’re hungry for the truth,” Nelson said in a statement. “Family farmers bring us good food, protect our soil and water, and strengthen our country. The Farm Aid concert is a day for us to honor that truth and keep working for family farmers.”

Tickets go on sale Monday (June 27) at 10 a.m. ET through Live Nation.
