Two days after announcing a delay in releasing his new album, Kenny Chesney has revealed a new title for the project during a Friday (July 8) appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America.
The album, originally titled Some Town Somewhere, had been scheduled to arrive Friday. Now titled Cosmic Hallelujah, it will be released on Oct. 28.
Chesney said he decided to delay the album to allow the inclusion of “Setting the World on Fire,” a new track he recorded with pop singer-songwriter P!nk.
“In the end, these album titles are around for a very long time,” Chesney said in a press release confirming Cosmic Hallelujah. “I really try to have titles that give people a sense of what the music is and what the album is all about.”
Chesney’s current single, “Noise,” stands at No. 6 on Billboard’s country airplay chart. His Spread the Love tour continues Saturday in Bangor, Maine.
