Search Underway for Craig Morgan’s Son

Teen Missing After Boating Accident on Kentucky Lake

Recovery efforts in the search for Craig Morgan’s missing son, Jerry Greer, continue Monday (July 11) after a boating accident on Kentucky Lake, in Humphreys County, Tennessee.

Late Sunday afternoon (July 10), a call came in to emergency dispatchers that Greer went missing, and a water search and rescue mission has been in place ever since. A recent Dickson County High School graduate, Greer is the 19-year-old son of Morgan and his wife Karen Greer.

Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis said crews worked throughout the night — there were five boats out on the water overnight — and that the full-scale search resumed at 6 a.m. Monday. Crews are using an underwater vehicle to scan the search area, which is between five to 10 acres. The water is about 15-feet deep in some parts of the lake.

Helping in the search efforts are the Dickson County Underwater Search and Recovery, the Tennessee City Volunteer Fire Department, the City of Dickson Fire Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
