Or, as I like to think of it now that I’ve seen all the photos, “house I love.”
Alphin and his wife Christiev Carothers are selling their 8-year-old mansion in Nashville’s Green Hills area for $10 million.
And while I couldn’t afford to buy even one fraction of the salt-water pool, I can at least dream about a day when I might be able to swim in that pool, have drinks in the 1800’s Irish Pub, dine in the Board Room that overlooks the 1,000-bottle wine cellar, have a nightcap on the master bedroom’s private stone patio, then get ready for bed in the closet so massive it has a second story.
In this real estate fantasy of mine, I’d also invite some country stars into the Last Dollar Studio on the property so we could record music where Big & Rich, John Legend, Jon Bon Jovi and Kid Rock have done so in the past.
Alphin’s home is 20,000 square feet. And I just found a similarly appointed estate about half that size in the nearby Belle Meade neighborhood on AirBNB for $1,563 a night, so maybe I could live the dream, even if it is just for a day.
