To everyone who wrapped their arms around Craig Morgan and his family, he is so grateful for that comfort in his time of need.

The loss of a child is a pain no parent should ever endure. But it’s a feeling Morgan and his wife Karen will have to live with for the rest of their days until they are once again reunited with their late son Jerry Greer on the other side.

In a new Facebook post, Morgan said they are grateful for all the wonderful people who have shown unwavering support as they continue to mourn their son. He thanked the Humphreys County Sheriff and Fire Departments, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and other volunteers who helped bring him home.

“We would also like to thank our friends, family members, and Jerry's friends who have all shown us an immense amount of love and support,” he wrote. “Additionally, we cannot thank the music and outdoor communities enough for wrapping their arms around us, as well as our industry friends, fans, and all those that loved our son.”

Morgan added that the family felt blessed by the outpouring of prayers and condolences from supporters around the world.

“Jerry may be gone from this earth, and we will miss him every day,” he wrote, “but his spirit will live on in our hearts. We will find peace knowing that God has a bigger plan, and that one day, we'll be reunited with him again in Heaven. John 3:16”
