Aubrie Sellers Inks to Stevie Wonder

Signs New Label Deal with Warner Music Nashville

When one of CMT's Next Women of Country Aubrie Sellers inked her new major label deal with Warner Music Nashville, she did it to the sounds of Stevie Wonder and a few bottles of champagne popping. At least that’s what it looked like in a new Instagram video of her toast set to the Wonder smash “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours.”

Judging by her sparkling smile, she’s seems pretty happy to be joining the Warner family with label mates Brett Eldredge, Blake Shelton and Cole Swindell.

One thing’s for sure, her career is in the hands of some major music fans at WMN where some members of the leadership play music themselves.

Radio rep Chris Palmer backed rising band the Last Bandoleros on drums at the label’s most recent Pickin’ on the Patio concert. And CEO John Esposito has been known to perform live at the label’s after party following the CMA Awards.

“When you combine the purity of Aubrie’s voice, the gritty swagger of her delivery and her amazing and unique approach to songwriting, it’s no surprise that the competition to sign her to a major label was intense,” Esposito said in a press release. “We couldn’t be more thrilled that she chose to join our Warner Music Nashville family, and we are excited to join her already impressive musical journey.”

Sellers will continue the celebration by headlining a free Pickin’ show at the label’s Music Row headquarters on Wednesday (July 27). And then she’s on the road through Oct. 1 opening various shows for Anderson East, David Nail and Chris Stapleton. Lucky. Duck.

The daughter of the incomparable Lee Ann Womack and hit-maker Jason Sellers, Aubrie released her debut album New City Blues with Carnival/Thirty Tigers on January 29.

One part Nashville songbird, one part R.L. Burnside and all attitude, her brand of garage country must not be missed.

Cheers!
