Clare Dunn Lights Up CMT Next Women of Country Live

Delivers "Tuxedo" Unplugged

Meet country music’s newest lady boss: Clare Dunn.

The songwriter, singer, masterful guitar player and producer can do it all.

Dunn grew up on a farm and ranch in southeast Colorado where agriculture was life, but music was her passion.

“I was always a big dreamer,” she says. “Music was the only thing I can ever remember wanting to do.”

Dunn’s influences range from classic country – from outlaws like Waylon Jennings to George Strait and Keith Urban – to classic rock greats like Bob Seger and the Rolling Stones.

And that’s just a few drops in the bucket for a girl whose constant companion growing up was the radio.

“When you are from where I’m from, you can’t be choosy on what music you listen to,” she says. “You learn to love and appreciate anything you can get your hands on, as long as you think it’s good.”
