Brooks & Dunn, Together Again

Duo Teams Up to Get “Damn Drunk”

Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks just can’t stay away from each other.

After officially going their own ways in 2010, and breaking up their massively popular duo Brooks & Dunn so they could each pursue solo careers, Dunn now has Brooks featured as a special guest on his brand new song “Damn Drunk.”

It is so good to hear them singing together again. Especially with a hook like, “If you were a whiskey, girl, I’d be a damn drunk.”

“Thanks to Kix,” Dunn said in a press release, “my long time compadre in crime for joining in on the fun.”

Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus produced the song, which was written by Liz Hengber, Alex Kline and Ben Stannis.

“This is one of those tunes that I immediately gravitated to,” Dunn added. “I listened to hundreds of songs while writing a few myself. Jay and I took it into the studio and it went to another level. Witnessing a song do that is magic,” Dunn said. “It is one of the most gratifying dynamics of music for me.”

Reba, Brooks & Dunn: Together in Vegas shows continue on Nov. 30 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
