Charlie Daniels is currently enjoying one of the most momentous years of his career, and he shows no signs of stopping with the Aug. 26 release of his next album Night Hawk.
The album will be an acoustic collection of 10 cowboy songs including the Bob Wills classics “Big Ball in Cowtown,” “Stay All Night (Stay a Little Longer),” Stan Jones’ “(Ghost) Riders in the Sky: A Cowboy Legend” and “The Old Chisholm Trail,” the latter of which was first published in 1911 in John Lomax’s Cowboy Songs and Other Frontier Ballads.
Daniels, Randy Travis and Fred Foster will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and museum during an invitation-only Medallion Ceremony set for this fall.
His new Hall of Fame exhibit Million Mile Reflections opens Sept. 23, and his 80th Birthday Volunteer Jam with Kid Rock, Chris Stapleton, Travis Tritt, Larry the Cable Guy and more is scheduled for Nov. 30 in Nashville. Proceeds from the show will support the military non-profit, the Journey Home Project.
