Jason Aldean and Kid Rock kicked off the They Don’t Know album release weekend by entertaining more than 60,000 fans over two nights at Boston’s Fenway Park. The doubleheader featured sets by Thomas Rhett, A Thousand Horses and Dee Jay Silver.
“We’ve had these shows circled on our calendar for quite a while,” Aldean said in a press release. “This is one of the most iconic ballparks in the Country with so much history, and we were able to cut loose and have some fun with those crowds. It was pretty cool to play new music off this album, at the same time the Red Sox are No. 1.”
Fans following his wife’s Instagram stories over the weekend caught the ACM’s reigning entertainer of the year taking a few swings in Fenway’s batting cages. Aldean was the first country act to headline the stadium in 2013.
The Six String Circus tour continues Thursday (Sept. 15) in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
