Miranda Lambert Forced to Cancel Texas Concerts

Vocal Rest Shuts Down Three Home State Shows

Miranda Lambert's three Texas concerts this week have been canceled because of troubles with her voice.

A press release from concert promoter Live Nation spread the news late on Monday afternoon (Sept. 12), saying that the country star was on a mandated vocal rest.

Lambert's Thursday show in Corpus Christi, her Friday show in Austin and her Saturday show in San Antonio have all be canceled. There are no plans to reschedule yet, and fans can get refunds where they bought their tickets.

Lambert had to cancel a show in Canada last summer for the same reason when she had a serious inflammation of the vocal cords.

At the time, she wrote, "I can't believe this is happening. I am sure most of you heard the news about the show in Calgary having to be rescheduled due to my vocal issues. Thanks for all your posts and well wishes, I promise I will do everything to get better quickly!"

Lambert hasn't posted anything on her website or social media pages yet, but her website does indicate these final three shows are canceled.
