Americana icon and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member John Prine is putting his spin on some of country’s greatest songs, and he’s pulled together some of the finest female artists around to lend their voices to his brand new album For Better, or Worse.
Prine has recorded duets with Miranda Lambert, Kathy Mattea, Lee Ann Womack, Kacey Musgraves, Alison Krauss, Morgane Stapleton, Iris Dement, Susan Tedeschi, Amanda Shires and his wife Fiona on songs like Loretta Lynn and Ernest Tubb’s “Who’s Gonna Take the Garbage Out” and Hank Williams Sr.’s iconic “Cold, Cold Heart” will feature
Holly Williams, the daughter of Hank Williams Jr. and granddaughter of the legendary Hank Williams Sr., joins Prine on “I’m Telling You,” a song frequently performed by by her late grandmother Audrey Williams.
