Over the weekend, Cam and Adam Weaver were married in Joshua Tree, California.
According to People magazine, Saturday’s (Sept. 24) ceremony was intimate, with about 140 guests and a Mexican-inspired theme.
When I talked to Cam this summer at the CMT Music Awards, she told me that when she was growing up in California, both she and her sister were committed to finding guys just like their father.
“My dad will get home from work, and he and my mom will go out on the patio and sit next to each other and drink a beer and just agree with each other,” she said. “It’s so cute. They’re really adorable. That’s all I want. I got rocking chairs for me and Adam. And we’ll go out on those chairs and have a drink, just like my mom and dad do.”
Cam’s dress for the big day was a Jenny Packham gown, and while her processional song was a mariachi band playing “Bésame Mucho,” her first dance with her new husband was Miranda Lambert’s “Oklahoma Sky.”
“It’s just one of the most beautiful songs. It has such an atmosphere to it. It just pulls you in and both of us loved it,” she told People.
The couple will be honeymooning in Tokyo and Bali.
