Lauren Alaina Set for Film Debut in 'Road Less Traveled'
A new movie based on Lauren Alaina’s new single “Road Less Traveled” is being made in Knoxville, Tennessee and it stars the American Idol alum herself.
According to Billboard, Alaina plays the role of Charlotte, a bride-to-be who struggles trying to find a balance between her upcoming wedding with her songwriting career in Los Angeles.
The plot has her looking for answers in her hometown of Harmony, Tennessee, where she questions what life would have been like if she never left after a run-in with her former high school sweetheart.
"I am so excited to be doing a movie," Alaina said. "This is a whole new world for me. I'm learning so much every day. We have such an awesome cast and crew and I can't wait for everyone to see this new side of me."
The film co-stars Charlene Tilton (Dallas) and is in production with Marvista Entertainment. This is Alaina’s first film.
“Road Less Traveled” is from Alaina’s self-titled EP, which was released in Oct. 2015.
