It happened sometime before February 27, 2015.
Carrie Underwood had a definitive change of heart about having kids, before her son Isaiah arrived nearly two years ago.
“I was always like, ‘I don’t know about kids. I’m not sure. I think we’re fine. We have a good life. Why would we go messing with it,'” Underwood told Redbook magazine.
“It was true, and I think a lot of people feel like that. But he’s the missing piece I didn’t know I was missing,” she said of her little boy.
Now that Isaiah is here and he is her whole world, Underwood admits that she’s had to quiet the control freak inside of her. Like when her husband Mike Fisher changes diapers differently than she does, she just has to be OK with it.
“Once I accepted that, it was better. He’s got this and I don’t have to worry. It’s a really great feeling,” she said, adding that she’s reminded of that great feeling during Isaiah’s bedtime ritual.
“Every night when I get to pray with Isaiah before I put him down,” she said, “it’s a cool moment to be able to realize how blessed we are.”
Underwood joins Keith Urban’s ripCORD World Tour 2016 for two seven shows in New Zealand and Australia starting Saturday (Dec. 3) in Wellington, New Zealand.
