Dolly Parton’s 'Smoky Mountains Rise' Telethon Adds All-Star Talent

Parton, Reba McEntire, Kenny Rogers and Alison Krauss Set to Perform

Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Kenny Rogers and Alison Krauss are among the artists who will perform on Parton’s Smoky Mountains Rise: A Benefit for the My People Fund on Tuesday (Dec. 13) in Nashville. The three-hour telethon airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Great American Country.

Proceeds will support Parton’s My People Fund, which will provide monthly donations of $1,000 to families who lost their homes in the Smoky Mountain wildfires in Sevier County where she was raised.

Anyone who lost their primary residents in the devastation -- renters and homeowners -- are eligible beneficiaries. A pre-application process for those affected is available through the Dollywood Foundation’s website.

The Smoky Mountains Rise event will be simulcast across multiple radio platforms -- including iHeart Media's digital and select on-air platforms, Cumulus Media's NASH Nights LIVE, TuneIn's Country Roads channel and several other platforms, which will be announced shortly.

Additional performers and celebrity participants will be revealed in the coming days.

The number to call to contribute to the cause during the telethon is 1-866-CARE MORE.

Fans can also donate directly to the My People Fund now by visiting the Dollywood Foundation website.

CMT’s pro-social initiative, CMT One Country, continues to support the American Red Cross in their efforts to provide disaster relief to those affected by the wildfires. Donate $10 directly to the Red Cross by texting 90999. Volunteer opportunities nationwide are also available through the CMT One Country website.
