Keith Urban Plays Guitar Tech Live in Australia

Gives the Floor to Amy Jennifer for Original Song

In Adelaide, South Australia, Keith Urban fan Amy Jennifer had two choices before heading to his show on Tuesday night (Dec. 6) — bring her acoustic guitar or leave it at home.

Luckily she brought it. And when Urban spotted her in the crowd holding her instrument later that night at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, he pulled her up onstage.

Urban asked, “Do you bring a guitar to every concert?”

“No,” she said. “Just yours.”

What happened next was a golden concert moment Amy Jennifer and the audience will never forget. After a “Thank you, Jesus,” and a “Oh my God, what the hell,” plus a little guitar tech assistance from Urban, she laid into her original song “Closing That Door” about a guy she said “was really not very nice.”

The ripCORD world tour with Urban and Carrie Underwood continues Thursday (Dec. 8) in Melbourne and wraps with a two-night stand in Brisbane starting Dec. 16.
