Nashville: Why I’m Watching Now

5 Reasons I'm Getting Into It

I hate to admit this but I’m a Nashville newbie. It’s true, I’m picking up in Season 5 and I couldn’t be more stoked for the season premiere Thursday (Jan. 5) at 9 p.m. ET/PT. To some, this might sound crazy considering there’s a whole lot of catching up to do. However, to binge on multiple seasons is a guilty pleasure of mine so I’m up for it. And here’s why …

1. The Season 5 Trailer
So much drama and so much music. There’s a plane crash, a stalker, hot romance, relationship drama, career upsets, family drama and so much more. Watch the trailer for all the highlights from this season.

2. The Music
Every episode, someone is performing music. And as someone who’s a music junkie, this is major.

3. The Love
Romance and love always makes for an entertaining time.

4.Music City
Up until six months ago, I lived in Nashville for two years. So when I watch the show, it’s like I’m back in the jewel box of a city. And for those who’ve always wanted to visit, you can be a tourist without having to leave your house because they shoot a ton of scenes in iconic places like the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry House.

5. The #Nashies
Who wouldn’t want to be part of such an awesome group of fans. These die-hard Nashies form their own watch parties, dedicate days of the week to characters, and so many more fandemonium. Just look at them!

Tune in Thursday (Jan. 5) at 9 p.m. ET/PT for the two-hour season premiere. And follow the conversation on Twitter by using #NashvilleCMT.
