Jamie Lynn Spears: “Headed Home With Our Baby Girl”

Maddie Aldridge Recovering at Home Following ATV Accident

Jamie Lynn Spears’ eight-year-old daughter Maddie Aldridge is at home recovering after being hospitalized for less than a week following an ATV accident on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 5).

A statement from Children’s Hospital in New Orleans to People magazine says she was released from their care on Friday (Feb. 10), breathing well and interacting with loved ones.

“Thanks to the amazing first responders, and medical teams at University and Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, LA,” Spears posted on social media. “We are headed home with our baby girl as she continues to recover. Above all else we are so thankful for each and every prayer, because we know that is what truly made the difference. Thank you again to everyone. We are truly blessed.”

Spears is a member of CMT’s Next Women of Country program. Her first hit as a songwriter came in 2016 as the co-writer of Jana Kramer’s “I Got the Boy.” Siblings Britney Spears and brother Bryan were on hand to help welcome their younger sister onstage for her Grand Ole Opry debut that March. Her latest country single “Sleepover” was released in June.
