Little Big Town, Chris Young Claim This Week’s Top Country Album, Single

Quartet's New Album Also Ranks High on Billboard's All-Genres Chart

Fresh off last week’s No. 1 country song, “Better Man,” Little Big Town continues its stratospheric stroll this week as its The Breaker debuts at the top of Billboard‘s country albums chart.

That total also lands The Breaker in the No. 4 niche of the all-genres Billboard 200.

And after an arduous 39-week trek, Chris Young‘s “Sober Saturday Night,” featuring Vince Gill, arrives at the summit of the country airplay chart. This is Young’s eighth No. 1 single.

New as well on the country albums chart is Aaron Watson‘s Vaquero. It bows at No. 2.

There are no other new albums to note, but Michael Ray‘s eponymous collection returns to action at No. 48.

LANco has this week’s only new song. Modestly titled “Greatest Love Story,” it tiptoes in at No. 58.

The No. 3 through No. 5 albums, in that order, are Garth Brooks’ The Ultimate Collection, Alison KraussWindy City (last week’s No. 1) and Keith Urban‘s Ripcord.

Rounding out the Top 5 songs cluster are Jon Pardi‘s “Dirt on My Boots,” Michael Ray’s “Think a Little Less,” Brad Paisley‘s “Today” and Little Big Town’s “Better Man.”

Besides the two Top 5 titles cited above, there are nine more albums on this week’s chart that have one-word titles. Can you name the artist behind each title? Here they are: Obsessed, Illinois, Hero, Traveller, Chief, Montevallo, Black, Storyteller, Hymns.
