For the first time in franchise history, the Nashville Predators are heading to the Western Conference final in the NHL’s Stanley Cup playoffs.
On Sunday (May 7), the Preds beat the St. Louis Blues 4-2 and Lady Antebellum were in Smashville at the Bridgestone Arena to sing the National Anthem before the historic event.

After the game, Carrie Underwood posted a sweet picture of her husband and Preds captain Mike Fisher being welcomed off the ice by their son Isaiah.
Since 1998, the Preds have made the Stanley Cup playoffs on 10 occasions, and according to the NHL, these Preds have gone further than any Nashville hockey club has gone before.
It looks like country musicians singing the National Anthem has become good luck for the Preds. The team has won every 2017 playoff game at home after National Anthem performances by Underwood, Luke Bryan, Little Big Town and Vince Gill with his daughters Jenny Gill and Corrina.
