Chris Stapleton, Shawn Mendes Join Dolly Parton’s MusiCares Gala

Norah Jones, P!nk, Mark Ronson, Leon Bridges and Lauren Daigle Added to MusiCares Person of the Year

Some of the most prominent voices in country, pop, soul and Christian music have joined the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year tribute celebrating Dolly Parton.

New performers joining the all-star salute, which is set for Feb. 8 in Los Angeles, are Norah Jones, P!nk, Mark Ronson, Chris Stapleton, Leon Bridges, Lauren Daigle and Shawn Mendes. Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Parton is the first artist representing the Nashville community to be named a MusiCares Person of the Year. She will be recognized for remarkable career achievements and her ongoing philanthropic initiatives including her literacy program, the Imagination Library. She is an eight-time Grammy winner with two songs in the Grammy Hall of Fame -- “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You.” She received the Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement award in 2011.

Proceeds from the evening will support MusiCares’ ongoing mission to serve music professionals in need. In addition to the night’s performances, the evening will include a reception, a luxury auction, dinner and awards presentation.

The 61st annual Grammy Awards air live from the Staples Center Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
