2022 CMT Music Awards: (Watch) Jason Aldean and Bryan Adams Bring “Heaven” to a Rainy Nashville

If you missed the performance the first time, catch CMT Music Awards Extended Cut at 8 p.m. (ET) April 15 on CMT.

Jason Aldean and Bryan Adams went back more than a decade to revive a popular collaboration from their CMT Crossroads episode during Monday night’s CMT Music Awards. The men brought Adams’ power ballad “Heaven” to life against the backdrop of Nashville’s popular neon tourist destination Lower Broadway.

Aldean’s black cowboy hat was pulled low over his eyes as he and Adams swapped lines on the classic hit as the crowd sang along.

However, downtown Nashville was definitely not heavenly on Monday. Rain drenched the streets as fans waited for hours to catch their favorite stars who were scheduled to perform on Lower Broadway as part of the awards show. In addition to Aldean and Adams, Miranda Lambert, Cole Swindell with Lainey Wilson and Cody Johnson so used Lower Broadway as their blinking backdrop.
