Doug Howard to Head Disney Music Publishing/Nashville

Doug Howard, senior vice president of A&R at Lyric Street Records, has been named senior vice president and general manager of the new soon-to-be-opened Disney Music Publishing/Nashville. The record label and publishing company are both part of the Buena Vista Music Group, the recorded music and music publishing division of the Walt Disney Company. Howard will continue his role at Lyric Street, the label home for Rascal Flatts, SHeDAISY, Josh Gracin and others. Howard's duties at the publishing company will include signing talent and acquiring song catalogs. He has been with Disney since Lyric Street was launched as a country label in 1997.
