Dolly Parton Album Release Date to Coincide With Tour
The release date of Dolly Parton's Backwoods Barbie will now be in late February or early March to coincide with the
launch of a world tour that begins Feb. 28 in Minneapolis. Backwoods Barbie, her first mainstream country album in
17 years, was previously set for release on Feb. 5. Parton is currently scheduled to perform a dozen shows in the U.S. and
make a March 14 appearance at the South by Southwest music conference in Austin, Texas. She'll spend June and July on a tour
of Sweden, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
