When I first realized West had discovered the joys of tweeting, I wrote about the inane nonsense he was posting in that charming micro-blogging way you do on Twitter. But now he's using the site to do some good and right some wrongs. In fact, he kind of won't shut up about it. "I'm sorry Taylor" was his last tweet from Saturday (Sept. 4). Before that was his heartfelt, "I've hurt, I've bled, I've learned. I only want to do good. I am passionate I am human I am real. I wish I could meet every hater." And then, "I wish I could talk to every hater face to face and change there [sic] a opinion of me one conversation at a time." And even, "I wish they could accept that I've grown and only want to do good for the world. I want to help as many people as I can." Other gems include: "Yes I was that guy. A 32 year old child" and "With new found humility ... who am I to run on stage? I would never ever again in a million years do that." He also goes off on a bit of a tangent saying "TAYLOR LOVES RAP MUSIC... I LOVE COUNTRY MUSIC" and asking, "Why was it made into such a race issue. Taylor loves rap music... I love country music."
But his best question, and frankly his most provocative tweet of all, was, "A year later where do we stand?"
So where's Swift on all this? Unusually quiet. And maybe even still in South Bend, Indiana, where she was hanging with Selena Gomez and her brother Austin at a Notre Dame season-opening football game on Saturday.
