By now, we all know Gwyneth Paltrow learned how to play guitar and perfected her vocals to sound like a Nashville star in the new film, Country Strong. But how did Paltrow get herself to actually look like one? Makeup artist Jorjee Douglass and hairstylist Elizabeth Martinelli spilled their secrets to Redbook magazine recently. And here's how they helped Gwyneth get her Southern charm on as singer Kelly Canter: For her eyes, Douglass says she smudged black liner along her lash line and added lavender eye shadow to give her a modern country look. Whatever that means. And then Martinelli took Canter's stringy rehab hair (no offense, Gwyneth) and gave it volume with extensions. There are actually quite a few scenes within the movie where Canter's stylist is fussing with her hair. There's product and extensions and curling irons and brushes everywhere. It may not be the easiest or cheapest look to replicate at home, but at least now we know what it takes to get a fictional country star all dolled up.
