No wonder Taylor Swift's crying. It's snowing in her bedroom and she's broken the heart of a very fine Ashton Kutcher look-alike. If, you know, Ashton Kutcher was the kind of guy who would brood, take long walks alone and wear fingerless gloves and skinny jeans. (Some sites are speculating the guy in her brand new "Back to December" video looks like Taylor Lautner, the former boyfriend she allegedly wrote the moving apology ballad for, but I don't see it.) I just see an emotionally-charged video without the standard-issue falling-in-love montage. In fact, the lack of that seems to leave all kinds of things up to your imagination. Like, were they cute when they were together? Did he cheat? Was he joining the Peace Corps? Was she? Sometimes it's what you don't know that makes a video so thoroughly compelling. I think this is the first time Swift strayed from her go-to Nashville directors, and after watching this video a few times, I'm sure we'll see more from director Yoann Lemoine.
