Lady Antebellum
We all know who the big winners are going to be this Sunday (Feb. 6). Regardless of who wins the actual Super Bowl, Lady Antebellum fans get the big prize. Because their booty call of a mega hit, "Need You Now," is finally going to get some Glee love right after the football game. It's part of a Glee episode called "The Sue Sylvester Bowl Shuffle." I don't know what part the country song will play in what is reportedly a story line that builds up to a mash-up of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Heads Will Roll." But I do know this post-Super Bowl episode cost somewhere between $3 million and $5 million to make. I've heard bits and pieces of the song, and it sounds nice. But, Lea Michele is no Hillary Scott, and Mark Salling is no Charles Kelley. That said, though, I can't wait for Lady A to make their music known to a whole new crop of Gleeks.
