With all the media buzz she's had lately, I'm surprised there's anything I don't know about Miranda Lambert right now. But when I read this month's Cowboys & Indians magazine story from start to finish, I learned some new things. Like that the William Rast vest Lambert is wearing in the cover picture is from Target (and is currently clearance priced at $13.99). And that she never went to college. ("This is my school," she said of the stages she played early in her career.) And that when she's 70, she wants to make an album with Jack White just like Loretta Lynn did. And that between her land and fiancé Blake Shelton's, they own about 1,900 acres in Oklahoma. She maintains that only hers is a genuine farm, though. "I have a real farm with potbellied pigs and chickens and horses and cows. And we get back there every chance we get," she says. And as for the songs she sings, she likes to get into the character of the song. "You become sort of an actress while you're singing those lyrics."
