I'm not sure what Elizabeth Taylor saw through her violet eyes. But in Johnny Cash, she must have seen a very good friend. Because according to Cash's daughter, Rosanne, the late actress sent her father a telegram every single year on his birthday, saying, "Remember, I'm younger than you!" Cash put that in a tweet, along with a reply to a follower saying, "Isn't that cute? I was with him one time when it arrived. He chuckled and showed me, said 'she sends this every year'." Both American legends were born in 1932. Cash on Feb. 26 and Taylor on Feb. 27. And even though Taylor treated Cash to an old-fashioned birthday wish (who knew they even sent telegrams anymore?), she had become a prolific Twitterer. Whether she was raving about Michael Jackson's music ("From 'Black and White', 'Man in the Mirror'. The inspiration behind 'We Are the World'. We must take his words of responsibility seriously"), sharing words of wisdom ("Give. Remember always to give. That is the thing that will make you grow") or joking about living a long life ("and at the moment I'm having too much fun being alive ... and I plan on staying that way. Happiness to all."), Taylor always had so much to share. May she rest in peace.
