When I chatted with Kimberly Perry and her brothers Reid and Neil on Sunday (April 3) night's red carpet at the ACM Awards, we talked gambling. She said she likes to do a little, as does Reid. And even before they were crowned the ACM new artist of the year later that night, she told me, "The awards are a gamble in themselves, right?" And she was right, but obviously the odds were definitely in The Band Perry's favor. The one other gamble she'd like to take, she said, was to learn how to play baccarat. (It's a card game between the gambler and the house.) "I have never played baccarat but I heard it's 50/50, so if I was gonna play anything while I'm here, it would be that. Because it requires no skill," she said. But of the three siblings in the band, she said Reid is probably the biggest gambler. "We just kind of like to keep our money in our pockets," she laughed. Regardless of the time they did or didn't spend at the casinos in Vegas this weekend, I think it's safe to say The Band Perry were big, big winners this year.
