"That's huge praise." That's what Eric Church told CMT on Wednesday (April 13) after hearing that Keith Urban is a big fan of his music. (I'd blogged earlier this week about how Urban told CMT Radio the music he was most into right now was Church's "Homeboy" and "Smoke a Little Smoke.") Church's response was to be flattered, obviously, mostly because of who Urban is. "I've said this before, but I'm a straight-up music snob. There are not a lot of things I like, and I love what Keith does. I always have," he said. "You know, he's always been a guy that has a lot of respect because he's a musician, he's a writer, he makes great records, he tours. He's the real deal. ... So to have someone like that pay attention and care what you're doing means a lot." Now it's Urban's turn to be flattered.
