If only Carrie Underwood could grow a playoff beard. Usually it's just the hockey players who do it. They get into the Stanley Cup playoffs and suddenly their razors are nowhere to be found. It's a weird, time-honored superstition that has little affect on who takes home the 35 lb. Lord Stanley, but is one of those traditions that is hard to stop. And now that Underwood's husband Mike Fisher is one of those Nashville Predators in the playoffs, I'm sure he'll let his beard grow and grow and grow. Sometimes even fans and friends get into the facial hair frenzy, in a do-it-for-the-team spirit. There's talk on EW.com that Cory Monteith (Glee's Finn Hudson) may do it out of love for his Vancouver Canucks. That could be kind of cute. Too bad that Underwood is too pretty to have a beard. But if they gave the Stanley Cup to the team with the best voice behind it, we all know the Predators would win.
