I was flipping through a magazine yesterday and saw Taylor Swift. No surprise there. But there was this tiny section in one of her Cover Girl ads that talks about Taylor's take on all things lovely. Mostly, it's about the makeup. Obviously. But then in one paragraph, Swift talks about what beautiful is all about. And she says, "Nashville is beautiful, and so are my fans -- because they make me feel understood. And feeling understood when you're being yourself? That's beautiful." I just thought that was so sweet. Not just because it's true, but because it's good advice for the girls who look up to Swift. Be yourself, be with people who understand you, and you'll be pretty. Makeup or not.
