Shania Twain does something that scares her every day. What sage advice -- for everyone, really. Twain talked about facing her fears with Meredith Vieira on yesterday's (May 4) Today show, as well as her new memoir, From This Moment On. Twain says the book was a positive way of opening up after realizing she'd been so private and closed-off from the world. And since writing is something that comes naturally to her, the book was a therapeutic way of dealing with what she calls the "death of love" when her first husband left her for her best friend. Former best friend, I should add. But by far, the most important question Vieria asked was, "Will we hear you sing again?" And this is what Twain said: "You will hear me sing again. Absolutely, I will sing again. I love to sing. I have to get a grip on that because throughout my whole life all of these anxieties, fears and uncertainties have affected the muscles around my larynx. But to make a long story short it's interrupted my vocal power and expression." Hopefully, her voice will be able to overcome the past, just like she has.
