I remember in the late '90s, when Tim & Faith were the Keith & Nic of Nashville. Always toting their little girls everywhere, with Gracie on Faith Hill's hip and Maggie in Tim McGraw's arms. Or the other way around. But, man, what a decade will do. McGraw told me Saturday (July 16) that Gracie is on the verge of starting high school, and she looks all grown up. "She's changed," McGraw said, sounding like any other immensely proud father. "She just grew up all of the sudden in the last year. She's 5-foot-6 or 5-foot-7 and looks like a beach volleyball player," he said of his eldest daughter. "She plays lacrosse, but she's really, really involved in school theater. That's her main focus, besides school." So she'll be going to a school with a great theater program, obviously. And this summer, all three of his girls are staying busy with school trips and other things that come with having a house full of teenagers. (Their youngest, Audrey, is only 9, but with two big sisters around, she is probably wise beyond her years.) But, still, McGraw loves it this way. "The older I get, the more I want to stay home. I like my bed. And the bus is ... it's still a bus."
