It was exactly six years ago today that the world was introduced to Jason Aldean. He released his self-titled debut album on July 26, 2005. But before that, he was just another blue-collar guy heading into work at a local Pepsi plant (in a Hicktown, perhaps) where he started working when he was just 17. And in a recent radio interview, he extolled the virtues of the job because he had a friend there who knew that he was trying to get this country career off the ground. "He basically kind of let me work when I wanted to, and he understood my situation, so it was pretty cool, and I worked there for a few years," he said, adding that he loved Pepsi. "It's cool. But, I think I drank so many of them that now I'm kind of over it, and Coke's my favorite," Aldean admitted. And since that 2005 debut, Aldean has had three albums go platinum, so I'm pretty sure he can buy as much Coke and/or Pepsi as he wants.
