I'm starting to see a pattern here. When Taylor Swift was in Canada, she covered an Alanis Morissette song. Then when she went to New Jersey, she did some Bon Jovi. Then in Michigan, she sang an Eminem song and one from Uncle Kracker. So, I get it. At every tour stop, she's going to pay homage to the artists from that area. And she has so many cities left on this Speak Now tour, I thought we could give her a hand coming up with the best cover tunes to add to her set list. When she's in Illinois next week, I'm guessing a Kanye West medley is out of the question. But I'd love to hear something from Fall Out Boy, Styx or REO Speedwagon. Or even better, Gretchen Wilson. The rest of her tour calls for pretty obvious tributes: Oregon, Paul Revere & the Raiders; Pennsylvania, Nine Inch Nails; Missouri, Nelly; Colorado, the Fray. But if Swift wanted to throw some countrier covers into her mix, may I suggest that for California, she play some Dwight Yoakam, Dierks Bentley in Arizona, Sammy Kershaw in Louisiana and Sugarland in Georgia. If you have more ideas, by all means add them to the list.
