Keith Urban's new cologne is called Phoenix. It is not called "Keith Urban." He told Women's Wear Daily the last thing he wants is a man to have to say, "I'm wearing Keith Urban." He also admits that he used to wear Brut, but his tastes in cologne have grown up a little since those days. And it all has led to what is described as "a leathery gourmand scent described as sexy, rich and masculine." (Which is exactly how I'd sum up Urban, by the way.) That's from the press release, which also describes the scent thusly: "The fragrance is introduced with top notes of blackberries, cognac and plum; segues into the aromas of dark chocolate and crisp fir balsam with a finish of warm cashmere wood in the background." Whatever. If it smells anything like Urban, I'm buying a case of it. You can preorder it now, sample it at the merch booth at his shows and wear it daily in October.
