Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles are never at a total loss for words, whether in song or in prayer. And in one of the most recent posts on their website about the Indiana State Fair tragedy, they put into eloquent words exactly how they are feeling. Bush, specifically, thanks God for the heroes he saw that night. "I thank God for every person who lifted a truss, who pushed against that metal to get it off someone ... for every person who used a chair as a stretcher," he writes. "I thank God for every fan and emergency responder, for everyone who ran to the trouble instead of away from it. The courage of those men and women will forever be with me." Nettles echoed his sentiments by saying how moved she was by what she witnessed. "Moved by the great heroism as I watched so many brave Indianapolis fans actually run toward the stage to try and help lift and rescue those injured. Moved by the quickness and organization of the emergency workers who set up the triage and tended to the injured," she said, adding, "a piece of our heart is left in that grandstand."
