Keith Urban is on the verge of releasing his latest project, Phoenix. It's his new fragrance for men. And he's pretty sure it smells good because he's been testing it out backstage at his meet-and-greets. "I'll meet 80 to 100 people a night," he told USA Today. "We do them in groups of six or eight, and I meet them one by one. The first few nights, I started wearing my cologne, and people were leaning in, saying: 'Is that your cologne? Let me have one more sniff.' They would lean in very close. Remind me to never do an underwear line!" Urban also said Phoenix was inspired by his dad. "He was quite an aesthete," he said. "He always smelled good and had good clothes. He had an appreciation for the senses." When he tried to describe the scent, which is like trying to describe a color, Urban explained, "I love certain leathers and woods. I wanted something sensual but also a strong masculinity, that didn't have metrosexuality to it." But those aren't the only smells he likes. Fresh-cut grass, clothes in a dryer, wood-burning fireplaces, jasmine and gardenia are all on his list.
