Dierks Bentley loves to ride. But now that he is a father to two very young girls, motorcycles may not be the best idea for his daughters, Evie and Jordan.

"Total double standard. Totally fine for me to ride motorcycles and do the things I do. But, yeah, they're not gonna be allowed to ride motorcycles. They're not gonna be allowed to date. They're not gonna be allowed to be in cars," he said in a recent CMT radio interview. "I know it's going to be really tough as they get older 'cause I'm very protective. I have a feeling Evie's going to be a little bit of a wild child."

When Bentley was in Chicago last week, he did admit to me that he is not completely unaware of the danger of motorcycle riding. He almost always wears a helmet, even when there's no helmet law.

"I'd always recommend wearing a helmet because sooner or later, you're gonna put that bike down," he warned. Then again, he was telling me this in a Harley-Davidson shirt that said "No Cages," so I'm pretty sure he believes that the risks of riding are worth the rewards.
